TR Property Investment Trust has been included in Peel Hunt’s Investment Companies for Income – 2026 playbook, which brings together the firm’s top investment company ideas offering income alongside long-term total return potential.
In the research, Peel Hunt highlights TR Property’s actively managed, pan-European listed real estate strategy, led by fund manager Marcus Phayre-Mudge and the team at Thames River Capital. The note points to the trust’s consistent track record of outperformance versus its benchmark, having outperformed in 13 of the last 14 financial years, as well as its long-term dividend history, with dividend growth in all but one year since 1996.
Peel Hunt also notes that the macroeconomic backdrop for real estate appears to be improving into 2026, with benchmark yields trending lower and increased levels of M&A activity across listed real estate. Against this backdrop, TR Property’s active stock selection, sector positioning and tactical use of gearing are highlighted as key drivers of potential total returns as investor sentiment towards the sector improves.
The research further notes that TR Property is well-positioned to benefit from continued consolidation across European real estate markets, where a smaller investible universe and improved fundamentals may support a re-rating in listed property companies.
